I am the (70-year-old) walrus

A big TRMS Happy Birthday to Sir Paul McCartney, who turns 70 today. Go ahead, try to pick your favorite McCartney songs–either with The Beatles, with Wings or solo. Three hours later, you may find you’re only up to 1967 or so. (A quick survey of the office yielded votes for “Blackbird,” “Maybe I’m Amazed,” “Hey Jude,” ”Two of Us,” “For No One,” “You Won’t See Me,” ”Silly Love Songs,” “Penny Lane,” ”I’ve Just Seen A Face,” “With A Little Luck,” “Band on the Run,” and “Jet.”

(For the record, Rachel is partial to the album “Revolver”—all of it.)

Your McCartney song favorites, tributes, stories etc. about this absurdly talented man are all welcome below —and Sir Paul? We forgive you for “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.”

It was a different time, after all.
