Today's edition of quick hits:

* Afghan President Hamid Karzai said today he's reached "the end of the rope" with the U.S., and accused American officials of "stonewalling an investigation into the killings of 16 Afghan civilians and suggested that more than one soldier may have been involved in the massacre."

* President Obama called Karzai today to help try to smooth things over. Accounts differ as to whether the call helped.

* The administration today fleshed out "additional details of how it proposes to deal with religious employers that object to the administration's birth control health insurance coverage rule."

* "This American Life" offers a high-profile retraction: "An acclaimed radio documentary about life in the Chinese factories that make Apple Inc.'s products contained 'numerous fabrications' and included invented characters and incidents."

* That undercover report from CBS News makes a while lot of House Republican freshmen look pretty bad.

* The DNC is going after Mitt Romney today for profiting -- or at least, standing to profit -- from Chinese surveillance efforts.

* Physics textbooks will remain intact: "Anyone who bet against Einstein better get out their wallet. That's because those supposedly faster-than-light particles that shook up the world of physics last September are now looking a lot slower."

* Ben & Jerry's unveiled a new limited-edition batch -- called "Apple-y Ever After" -- in support of marriage equality in the U.K.

* And in Missouri today, three Republican U.S. Senate candidates were asked to identify the minimum wage. As this video from ThinkProgress helps show, it didn't go well.
