Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* The latest Gallup poll takes a look at attitudes among young voters. The good news for President Obama is that he holds an enormous, 35-point edge over Mitt Romney among those under 30. The bad news is for Obama is, they may not show up to vote on Election Day.

* Etch A Sketch Watch: the Republican campaigns and their super PACS are "scrubbing their YouTube pages to remove any evidence of their attacks on one another."

* In light of yesterday's Senate vote on the Violence Against Women Act, some possible vice presidential nominees weighed in on the subject. Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and John Thune (R-S.D.) were among the 31 Republican men to vote against reauthorizing VAWA.

* With a special election coming up in Arizona's 8th congressional district, where voters will choose a successor to Gabrielle Giffords (D), both parties are launching television ads.

* Texas Gov. Rick Perry's (R) reputation has taken such a severe hit, 64% of his constituents believe he should not seek re-election again in 2014.

* New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is headed to Wisconsin to campaign for Gov. Scott Walker (R) ahead of the June 5th recall election.

* And in Ohio, incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) has already been the target of millions of dollars in attack ads, and this week, he's returning fire in his first ad of the year, which is focused on his challenger, state Treasurer Josh Mandel (R).
