Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* Over the last three months, Gov. Scott Walker (R) and his allies have outspent Democrats and their allies by more than a 3-to-1 margin. The gubernatorial recall election is a week from Tuesday.

* In Ohio, the latest NBC/Marist poll shows incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) leading Josh Mandel (R) by 14 points, 51% to 37%.

* In Virginia, NBC/Marist found former Gov. Tim Kaine (D) leading former Sen. George Allen (R) in this year's closely-watched U.S. Senate race, 49% to 43%.

* In Florida, NBC/Marist also found Sen. Bill Nelson (D) leading Rep. Connie Mack IV (R), 46% to 42%.

* The Republicans' U.S. Senate primary in Texas is getting a lot of attention, but Public Policy Polling shows David Dewhurst pulling away, leading Ted Cruz by 17 points, 46% to 29%. If, however, Dewhurst falls short of 50%, there will be a runoff.

* If Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) isn't running for his party's VP nomination, he has a funny way of showing it -- the far-right Floridian is "planning a swing-state summer bus tour that will also roll through South Carolina, the early presidential primary battleground."

* In Maine, Republicans are going after former Gov. Angus King (I), the leading U.S. Senate candidate this year, questioning his independence. It's unclear which party King would caucus with if he wins, as appears very likely.

* And a pro-Latino super PAC, called PAC+, has a new television ad in Arizona, criticizing Mitt Romney on immigration policy.
