Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* The Koch brothers' Americans For Prosperity is investing over $24 million in an ad campaign that will run through early September. The campaign, which will probably be made up almost entirely of anti-Obama spots, will air in 11 swing states.

* Seizing on the new independent analysis of Mitt Romney's tax plan, President Obama's team has launched an interactive map showing how much middle-class families' taxes would go up if the Republican is elected.

* In Florida, many voters might believe Rep. Connie Mack IV (R), a U.S. Senate candidate, is his father, former Sen. Connie Mack III. The incumbent, Sen. Bill Nelson (D), has a tough new spot to help remind Floridians exactly who the congressman is.

* In April, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said there was a "one in three" chance his caucus would lose their majority in the 2012 elections. Yesterday, Boehner said he's "feeling better" about keeping his Speaker's gavel.

* The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, fearing a lawsuit, apologized to Republican billionaire Sheldon Adelson over accusations surrounding prostitution at his company's casinos in Macau, China.

* In Wisconsin's U.S. Senate Republican primary, former Gov. Tommy Thompson was thought to be the frontrunner, but PPP now shows businessman Eric Hovde inching into the lead.

* It wasn't easy, but freshman Reps. Chuck Fleischmann (R) and Diane Black (R) won their respective primaries in Tennessee last night.

* And in Nevada, Shelley Berkley (D) has a new Spanish-language ad hitting Sen. Dean Heller (R) for his opposition to the Dream Act.
