For Columbus Day: Among the Lakota

Happy Columbus Day, if you're feeling that way, or Indigenous People's Day, for the rest of you. This is one of those tough holidays, delivering a wallop of guilt if you stop to think about it.And yet sitting around feeling guilty for what happened hundreds of years ago is kind of a waste of time, especially when so much destruction still ripples onward today. Photographer Aaron Huey took his camera and his heart to the Lakota in South Dakota. He brought back pictures, of course. I think his heart's still there.
