Florida voter purge summons ghosts of elections past

The state of Florida is once again drawing attention for election issues, reminding some of the messy 2000 election. Gov. Rick Scott’s decision to implement a voter purge may be the result of a discussion with for former Secretary of State Kurt Browning, who was an elections official. Browning told Scott the purge was not necessary and later said he didn’t feel comfortable with the initiative.
