Rev busts out the science lab to school climate change deniers

From doubting evolution to thinking women's bodies can "shut that whole thing down" after rape, conservatives often seem to have trouble grasping the facts of science. That's certainly the case when it comes to climate change.

President Barack Obama openly called the deniers out in his inaugural speech. “We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that failure to do so would betray our children and future generations,” Mr. Obama said in Monday's speech. “Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms.”

His speech unfortunately failed to change the minds of all the deniers, so Rev. Al Sharpton donned his lab coat to share the conclusions that the world's top scientists have come up with on this issue. That includes the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which found a 90% probability that humans are the main cause of global warming, and more than 97% of climate researchers surveyed by the National Academy of Sciences who believe humans cause climate change too.

Republicans and the facts don't mix well these days. Here's hoping that changes in time for everyone to come together to address this important issue.
