UPDATED at 1:15 p.m.:

Paris Jackson, teen daughter of deceased pop icon Michael Jackson, was hospitalized Wednesday morning, family members confirm.

Her guardian and grandmother, Katherine Jackson, said that the 15-year-old is "physically fine" in a statement released through her lawyer in the wake of the hospitalization.

"Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you," the statement read. "Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention."

Rev. Al Sharpton, who knew the teen's father well and eulogized him in 2009, discussed Paris Jackson's condition on PoliticsNation Thursday.
