Studies show that early music training, especially piano lessons can actually boost a child's brain power. Researchers from the University of California at Irvine have found that 3-5 year olds who take piano lessons fare 35 % better in school than other children in their age groups -- even those taking computer lessons. In fact, some researchers say that children as young as two years old should take music lessons.
