On Monday's NOW with Alex Wagner, NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel joined the panel to lay out the options the Obama administration has in Syria. According to estimates from the United Nations, more than 70,000 people have been killed since the start of the uprising in 2011.
"There is great disappointment in the Arab world, certainly among the Syrian rebels that the United States has not taken a stronger stance," Engel said. "This [chemical weapons] claim does have some questions around it. There's a lot that seems confusing about it, but the larger question is--is it just about this incident, or should the U.S. be doing more to control, or at least guide a situation which is very dangerous, very chaotic and destabilizing not just for Syria, but for Lebanon, Iraq and Israel."
