The War in Iraq was officially declared over last week, and today the U.S. will mark the end with the ceremonial return of the military flag that flew over the Iraqi capital.

The return of the "Colors" flag is the formal finale of the nearly nine year war in Iraq that saw 4,474 U.S. service members and an untold number of Iraqis killed.

President Obama and Vice President Biden will be at today's special ceremony at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. There they will welcome home Army Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, who will be bringing the flag back. General Austin oversaw the withdrawal of tens of thousands of troops from Iraq.

The ceremony is expected to start today at 12:05pm and we'll bring you some of it live.
