As the media focuses on a flurry of new poll numbers that show Mitt Romney gaining steam as the GOP coalesces behind the presumptive nominee, there's increasing focus on the Latino vote. While we might sound like a broken record, this increasingly large voting bloc (forecast to be over 10 million votes in November) has enormous sway. Sensing that, the Romney campaign hired former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie, who championed Latino outreach during his tenure at the Party. Hispanic outreach is expected to play a major role in the Romney bid, much the way it helped propel George W. Bush to victory.
This morning we'll take a look at what can be expected of Latinos in November with our friend Jose Diaz-Balart, who moderated an Aspen Institute panel on the subject just recently. The answers to these questions could very well be the answers that make history in November.
