A new NBC News-Marist poll out this morning puts Mitt Romney ten points ahead of Newt Gingrich.  But there's 2 days to go in South Carolina, and Gingrich definately has momentum.  The press today is filled with stories that could hurt either candidate, so it's anybody's guess what could happen in South Carolina.  Who would have thought?

NOWist John Heilemann points this out this morning: Given that Iowa is set to announce today that Rick Santorum is the winner of its caucuses after re-canvasing, by the end of this weekend Mitt Romney may have only won New Hampshire - a state that he had to win given what he invested there.

In other words, 2012 is hardly locked up.  We'll have it all covered today, tomorrow, and Saturday during a special primary day edition of NOW.
