Bernie Sanders' campaign is out with a powerful new video featuring the daughter of Eric Garner, an African-American man whose death after being placed in a chokehold by a white New York City police officer drew national outrage.
In the online video given exclusively to NBC News, Erica Garner delivers emotional testimony about her father and connects that to why she supports Sanders. The video comes as both Sanders and Hillary Clinton compete for minority voters ahead of primary and caucus contests where those voting blocs are expected to play an influential role.
A 2 minute version of the ad will air on national cable television, the Sanders campaign said.
