Dustin Diamond, the actor best known for his role of "Screech" on the '90s sitcom "Saved by the Bell," was arrested Thursday after a bar fight about 30 miles north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in which Diamond allegedly used an illegal switchblade knife to stab a man.

The 37-year-old actor now faces several criminal charges, including felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

According to police, the victim was not seriously injured.

Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing at a bar around 11:15 p.m. on Christmas Day before locating Diamond nearby in his vehicle, where, police say, they retrieved a bloody switchblade from Diamond's car. According to the criminal complaint, Diamond told police he accidentally stabbed the man while trying to defend his fiancee.

Diamond's fiancee, 27-year-old Amanda Schutz, was charged with disorderly conduct.

On Friday afternoon, Diamond appeared in court where bail was set at $10,000. A follow-up hearing is scheduled to take place on Dec. 29.

Calls to Diamond's manager were not immediately returned.
