I just read a short article by Mike Celizic about his refusal to buy golf equipment and golf related products just because Tiger Woods gets paid tens if not hundreds of million$ to endorse them. How many of you would cop to doing just that? Who has a Nike driver in his/her bag because Tiger plays one? Who wears Nike apparel or shoes because of Tiger? I've never bought into (literally) the hype surrounding celebrity endorsed products but I'm wondering how many of you do? And how are you hitting that Nike driver, how does that Nike ball fly? I've never bought a Nike ball and have only hit ones I've found, didn't like 'em. And who out there is chugging Tiger Gatorade while driving a Buick? Not me. Just wondering who out there will admit to falling prey to the hype? — Posted by duckwater |
