Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., talked with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell about the upcoming debate in Congress over the U.S. military sending strikes to Syria. He called it “critically important” that the military has the support of the American public behind them, and that if the president and Congress appear to differ in support for the action, they would be “failing the men and women we’re asking to fight the battle.”Aug. 31, 2013
