Sir Elton John spoke to a Senate subcommittee about the fight against HIV/AIDS telling them, “funding is essential” but “other countries need to step up to the plate” because “America can’t do this all on its own.” John also talked about fighting the stigma of the disease saying, “we have to make people feel like they are loved, not shamed.”
