The tables turned in Washington D.C. Saturday at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, with President Obama taking shots at the media and politicians in a comedy monologue that looked like host Conan O'Brien's late-night riffs.

"I know Republicans are still sorting out what happened in 2012," Obama said. "They need to do a better job reaching out to minorities. Call me self-centered, I can think of one minority they can start with—hello!?! Think of me as a trial run, see how it goes."

Obama pointed out first lady Michelle Obama's Vogue covers and said that his gray hairs made him less of a cover model.

"I get it," he said. "These days, I look in the mirror and I have to admit I'm not the strapping young, Muslim socialist that I used to be."

For his part, O'Brien poked fun at the shifting alliances in Washington.

"Earlier this evening, there was some confusion with the seating chart," he said. "Someone accidentally sat Chris Christie with Republicans. Awkward."
