Despite Caitlyn Jenner's well-documented criticism of Hillary Clinton, a clip from her E! show "I Am Cait" reveals the transgender icon posting trading small talk and posing for a photo with the Democratic front-runner.
"With Hillary Clinton we were all so starstruck and Caitlyn was too. You know, even though she kind of wanted to deny it -- it was so palpable to me that I was like, 'Oh, she's loving this,'" said Zackary Drucker, a friend of Jenner's. "She's meeting a presidential front-runner."
When Clinton meets Jenner and her friends, Clinton congratulates the group for their work addressing issues surrounding transgender rights across the US. Jenner had posted a photo from the meetup on Instagram last week with the caption "#learningfrommygirls #willingtolisten." The full episode showing the encounter on "I Am Cait" will air Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

In a previous episode of her reality show, documenting her new life as an open trans woman, Jenner said she would vote for Republican candidate Donald Trump over Clinton.
“I would never, ever, ever vote for Hillary. We’re done if Hillary becomes president. The country is over,” she said in a recent episode.
Jenner has also publicly supported Republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, though she has clarified that her support is not an endorsement. Nonetheless, LGBT advocates have criticized her praise for the Republican candidate, who has made controversial comments about transgender teens and supports marriage between a man and a woman.
Jenner acknowledged Cruz's weakness in supporting LGBT issues in The Advocate on March 2, and said “I like Ted Cruz … But I also think, he’s an evangelical Christian, and probably one of the worst ones when it comes to trans issues.”
Jenner has even offered Cruz to be his "trans ambassador," but added that she has not connected with the candidate since she made the proposal.
