Academy Awards 2015: The five best spoofs of this year’s Oscar nominees

In the lead-up to the Academy Awards this Sunday, television pundits have been speculating incessantly about what film will win Best Picture. But on the Internet, the bigger question is, “which is the best Best Picture parody?”

From Big Bird in “Birdman” to a little kid playing the dad in “Boyhood,” the Best Picture nominees were spoofed in weird – and hilarious – ways. Here are some of this year’s best parodies:

“Big Birdman”

A veteran puppeteer, who plays an avian icon, battles his ego and attempts to find his way back to a certain furry and friendly street. This is ‘Big Birdman.’

“12 Years for ‘Boyhood’ and 30 Years for Animals”

In a playful homage to his film “Boyhood,” Richard Linklater talks to PETA about animals, the environment, and being a proud vegetarian from Texas.

From “Grand Breedepest Hotel” to “Wooflash,” and every film in between.

Best Picture: The Musical!

Witty lyrics about each of the Best Picture nominees, including “Bradley Cooper” belting out, “Thirty pounds! I gained thirty pounds! The Academy rewards that sacrifice!”
