Tennessee State University campus shooting kills 1, injures 2

One person was fatally shot and two others were wounded in a dispute over a dice game on the campus of Tennessee State University late Thursday, police said.

One person was fatally shot and two others were wounded in a dispute over a dice game on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville late Thursday, police said.

A university police dispatcher said the campus was on lockdown as of 1:00 a.m. (2:00 a.m. ET), but would not comment further.

Police responded to a call of shots fired just before 11:00 p.m. (midnight ET), according to the Nashville Police Department's Tonya Stone.

The victims were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Stone said.
