Rand Paul trolls Hillary Clinton right back

Updated

Campaigns and candidates come and go, but their political memorabilia can last forever for the right fan. And recent unpleasantries exchanged between Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton are apparently worth thousands, exactly $8,150 after 71 bids, as of this publication.

Rand Paul announced Thursday he was auctioning off Clinton’s 656-page memoir “Hard Choices” on eBay after the Democratic front-runner sent copies to all GOP candidates as a reminder of her record following their second debate.

Paul paired his signature on the cover page of “Hard Choices” with a rejoinder: Hillary, your refusal to provide security for our mission in Benghazi should forever preclude you from higher office!”

This comes in response to a quippy personalized letter Clinton had attached for each GOP candidate: “I understand that you and your fellow Republican candidates were questioning my record of accomplishments during your last debate, so I thought you might enjoy reading my book ‘Hard Choices’.”

“They could have a book club,” Clinton said later at an appearance in Iowa.

Paul wasn’t alone in responding to the Democrat’s trolling.

Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal tweeted:

In August, Jeb Bush also tangled with Clinton over education policy:

But the trolling isn’t limited to cross-party rancor. GOP front-runner Donald Trump delivered a 24-pack of bottled water to rival Marco Rubio, who in 2013 grabbed awkwardly for a mini water bottle during his State of the Union rebuttal to President Obama.

“I drink water. So what?” Rubio responded during an interview on “Fox and Friends”, according to Politico.
