Rand Paul airs Festivus grievances

Updated

Festivus is getting political this year.

The fake secular holiday, introduced into the pop culture lexicon by Seinfeld writer Dan O’Keefe in 1997, provided the sitcom characters an alternative to celebrating Christmas. The December 23th holiday, referred to as “Festivus for the rest of us,” includes practices such as the “Airing of Grievances” and “the “Feats of Strength,” in which the head of the household challenges one person to a wrestling match.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul took to Twitter Monday morning to air his grievances – some serious, some humorous – in honor of Festivus.
