In Staten Island, a peaceful march for Eric Garner

In New York City on Saturday, thousands gathered for a peaceful march in Staten Island to protest the death of Eric Garner, who died after being placed in an apparent chokehold by a NYPD officer. Demonstrators also galvanized against police brutality and gun violence after the police shooting death two weeks ago of teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
