Presidential campaigns attack with dueling ads featuring singing Romney, Obama

When Mitt Romney sang “America the Beautiful” to a group of supporters the night of the Florida primary earlier this year, there were a few smirks over his singing capacity, but now the Obama campaign is using that moment in a new ad.

As Romney sings the lyrics—”O’beautiful for spacious skies…America! America! God shed His grace on thee”—the ad attacks Romney for his record on jobs and his personal investments and tax filings.

In business, Mitt Romney’s firms shipped jobs to Mexico. And China.

As Governor, Romney outsourced jobs to India…

He had millions in a Swiss bank account.

Tax havens like Bermuda.

And the Cayman Islands.

Continuing its campaign narrative that Romney’s business credentials do not qualify him to run the country, the ad finishes with, “Mitt Romney’s not the solution. He’s the problem.”

The Romney campaign quickly hit back with a singing ad of its own Monday. Attacking the president for the high unemployment rate and suggesting he provided kickbacks to donors, the ad features Obama singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

Lots of love for the donor class.

What about the middle class?
