Peaches Geldof, the daughter of musician and 80s rock and roll charity fundraiser organizer, Bob Geldof, has died at 25.
Police in Kent, England confirmed that they had been called and that a 25-year-old woman was later pronounced dead. “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden death,” Kent police said in a statement. “Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death.”
Geldof released a statement Monday confirming his daughter’s death. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us,” said the statement. “Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever.”
Geldof’s mother, Paula Yates, died of a drug overdose in 2000.
