Even the president of the United States gets rejected sometimes.

While signing an executive order to help protect consumers from financial fraud, President Barack Obama on Friday shared a recent story about a New York City restaurant declining his credit card.

"It turned out, I guess I don't use it enough, so they thought there was some fraud going on. Fortunately, Michelle had hers," he said while speaking at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The first family had been in the city last month for the UN General Assembly.
