This Sunday's episode of Melissa Harris-Perry featured a roundtable discussion about the politics of black hair.

"For me, black womens' hair—the politics of it seem obvious," said host Melissa Harris-Perry. "But I realize it may not be obvious to everyone, particularly, maybe, to our viewers who haven't encountered these questions before."

What followed was a discussion of those questions and the history of them.
