Kasie Hunt interviews the White House’s Josh Earnest on Meerkat

Following her groundbreaking use of Meerkat from the White House briefing room earlier this week, msnbc political correspondent Kasie Hunt will do the first-ever live Meerkat interview with White House press secretary Josh Earnest Friday.

The interview – the first conducted with a White House official on the app – will take place at 9:45 a.m. ET on Friday morning, and will be streamed both on Meerkat and on Stringwire, NBC’s live video streaming service.

Meerkat is a Twitter-centric mobile app that lets users log in and stream live video both within Meerkat and on Twitter. At the South by Southwest festival earlier this month, Meerkat was deemed one of the hottest new apps in the tech world.

You can tune in by following @kasie on Twitter and clicking the link below. The livestream will begin at 9:45 a.m. ET Friday.
