Jon Stewart explains why Chuck Schumer avoided talking about Iran

"The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart has an important lesson for msnbc's Steve Kornacki: When it comes to an interview, location is everything. 

When Kornacki sat down for a one-on-one chat with New York Sen. Chuck Schumer Sunday to discuss President Obama's Iran deal, the host chose a Brooklyn diner for the breakfast meeting.

“You brought an old New York Jewish man to a diner?" Stewart exclaimed. "You’re never going to end up talking about the Iran deal. You’re just going to end up talking about diners!” 

Indeed, the Brooklyn-born senator seemed more interested in talking about food, menus, and Sweet n' Low than foreign policy. 

The Iran deal? Turns out Schumer hasn't had time to read it. But the senator certainly has a strong, strange opinion on what topping goes best on grits. To find out what that is, watch below.
