Former Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords appears to be getting back into politics with the launch of a political action committee, “Gabby PAC.”

Papers filed with the Federal Election Commission Monday show a statement of organization for the Gabby PAC. It lists Janet Kay Lesher as a treasurer and Vickie Winpisinger as assistant treasurer.

The PAC will support multiple national candidates, according to the filing. It is not affiliated with any particular party or existing corporation or organization.

Lean Forward inquiries to Lesher and Winpisinger were not immediately answered.

Giffords, also known as “Gabby,” left Congress after she was shot in the head at a campaign event in Tucson, Ariz., last year. Her ongoing recovery has been chronicled by the media. Two months ago, her husband Mark Kelly hinted at the formation of a “Gabby PAC,” focused on “those issues she cares about,” during a political event.

Politico first reported the Gabby PAC filing.
