Trump: We're sending back 'bad dudes'

The GOP candidate made sure to note that undocumented immigrants aren't all from Mexico, but rather "they come from all over."

Donald Trump on Sunday deemed undocumented immigrants "bad dudes" -- and made sure to note that they aren't all from Mexico, but rather "they come from all over."

“We have some really bad dudes right here in this country, and we’re getting them out, and we’re sending them back to where they came from," the GOP presidential candidate told CNN "State of the Union” host Jake Tapper in a phone call.

"And I don’t mean Mexico – they come from all over,”

Trump's description is a bit softer than his now-infamous declaration that some Mexicans crossing the U.S.-Mexico border are drug dealers and "rapists."

“They’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists,” he said during his presidential announcement.

The billionaire entrepreneur’s most recent comments come days after he visited the U.S.-Mexico border in Loredo, TX, when he said he’s risking “great danger” by visiting.

“They’re coming from all over.” Trump emphasized on the CNN call.

“We have some real bad ones, and they’re in our prisons that we’re pay for. And they’re walking the streets of San Francisco,” he noted, referring to the killing of tourist Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco by an undocumented immigrant with a longstanding criminal rap sheet earlier this month.

Trump is leading the polls in the early nominating states in the latest NBC/Marist poll, even after his controversial comments about Republican Sen. John McCain, and his criticisms of the way American war veterans are treated.
