Donald Trump makes up with Fox

Donald Trump and Fox News are friends again, following the presidential candidate’s very public feud with the network and host Megyn Kelly after last week’s Republican debate.

Trump phoned in for an interview on Tuesday’s episode of "Fox & Friends." The call represented the first time he's been on the network since Thursday's debate, where Kelly asked him about sexist remarks he’d made in the past and pressed him on his past political donations. Trump protested his treatment and spent the next several days complaining to reporters on every network except Fox.

“Glad we’re friends again,” host Steve Doocy told Trump on Tuesday morning, the only reference to the feud. The show’s female host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was not involved in the interview.

“Well, we are friends, Steve. We’ve always been friends, it’s great to be back with you,” Trump responded.

The pair discussed the Iraq war (Trump told the Fox News audience he was against it) and whether or not the real estate mogul would run as a third party candidate (he wouldn’t rule it out).

Trump's feud with Fox hit its peak on Friday, when he said Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" during the debate, earning widespread outrage and condemnation from rival candidates. Still, Trump doubled down through Monday morning: On msnbc's “Morning Joe,” Trump said Kelly should apologize to him

The front-runner's attacks on Fox continued over the weekend. "It amazes me that other networks seem to treat me so much better than @FoxNews. I brought them the biggest ratings in history, & I get zip!," Trump tweeted Sunday,

The feud seems to have broken mid-day Monday, when he tweeted that Fox News' president Roger Ailes had phoned him and promised fair treatment.

“I want to run as a Republican, but I want to keep that door open in case I don’t get treated fairly,” Trump said.
