GOP front-runner Donald Trump said he sometimes carries a concealed gun.
“I feel much better being armed," Trump said in an interview that aired on CBS's “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
Trump told John Dickerson that he got a permit to carry a gun years ago.
“I like to have myself protected,” he explained.
The real estate mogul did not encourage other citizens to get their own firearms, but he made clear he is a supporter of the Second Amendment.

Trump argued that if someone else had a gun when the gunman began shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon earlier this month, “the result would've been better.” He added that he would not be opposed to arming school teachers.
“Assuming they knew how to use the weapon, which hopefully they would, you would've been a lot better when this maniac walked into class, starting to shoot people," Trump said.
Trump has been making his position on firearms clear recently, saying mental health is the reason for mass shootings in America and speaking out against gun-free zones (despite some of his hotels and golf courses being gun-free).
His official policy position on his website advocates for fixing “our broken mental health system” and defending “the rights of law-abiding gun owners."
