The uptick followed a six-day losing streak.

Burger King is tying the campaign to a nonprofit called Peace One Day, which promotes Peace Day.

“At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes,” said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. 

About one third of Walmart stores in the U.S. currently carry the guns.
