Did you know that hospital nurses are so overwhelmed by data and information that they can spend only 20 percent of their time on direct patient care? We at Xerox wanted to change that, so Mark Stefik, a Fellow at the Palo Alto Research Center, focused on finding a solution.

The result: a new technology called Digital Nurse Assistant (DNA). It collects and organizes all of a patient’s necessary information, and makes that data quick and easy to access via touch screen or mobile device. Simplifying the work of nurses so they can focus on patient care–who doesn’t want that?
