Arnold Schwarzenegger pulls epic prank at wax museum in Hollywood

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pulled off an elaborate prank to raise money for a good cause.

The action movie icon dressed up as his iconic “Terminator” character and posed as a wax figure at the Madame Tussauds museum in Hollywood. As tourists attempted to take pictures next to him, Schwarzenegger sprung to life, startling and delighting fans.

“That was fun and that was just me, so imagine what happens when we do this together!” Schwarzenegger says in the promotional clip. The former governor has teamed up with Omaze, a California-based charity organization, to offer a chance to attend the premiere of his new film “Terminator: Genisys” and also raise money for after-school programs for kids.

The beneficiary of his campaign will be After-School All-Stars (ASAS), which “serves 87,377 low-income, at-risk youth at 367 Title I schools in 15 major cities across the country — from New York to Hawaii.”

Schwarzenegger has been largely steering clear of politics these days, although the 67-year-old did write an op-ed this April condemning the GOP’s support for a “religious freedom” law in Indiana, which could potentially be used to discriminate against the LGBT community.

As an American, I’m incredibly concerned about what happened in Indiana this week and the threat of similar laws being passed in other states. As a Republican, I’m furious,” Schwarzenegger wrote.

His latest installment in “The Terminator” franchise opens on July 1.
