‘Advancing the Dream’ is an initiative led by Reverend Al Sharpton to highlight efforts in communities across America to expand fairness, equality and opportunity. The initiative was launched at the Essence Festival, continued in Washington DC for the anniversary of the March on August 23, and concludes at the Apollo.
