I had the chance to talk with satirist and author Andy Borowitz yesterday just a few minutes after his interview on the show. I guess I felt like before I let him leave the building, there was more the world needed to know about Borowitz. And namely, the world needed to know about what was on his iPod and what it was like to be a fill-in radio host.For those of you who don't live in New York (it's ok, I live in Jersey City, so I feel you) and are unfamiliar with the NPR station for New York, WNYC, Andy sometimes fills in for a gentleman named Leonard Lopate. read more

Last night, the gloves came off as seven Republican presidential hopefuls squared off in the Las Vegas debate hosted by CNN. As a new frontrunner in the race, all eyes were on Herman Cain at the start of the night. His GOP rivals took turns slamming his “9-9-9” plan to reform the tax code. Rick Perry said, "You don't have to have a big analysis to figure this thing out. Go to New Hampshire, where they don't have a sales tax, and you're fixing to give them one." Despite the attacks, Herman Cain still holds a narrow lead in the latest NBC News/Marist polls. read more
