With the death of Osama bin Laden, there is reportedly a new leader of Al Qaeda. According to a former associate of bin Laden, a man named Saif Al-Adel is serving as the interim leader of the terrorist organization. Al-Adel comes from a military background. He once served as an Egyptian Special Forces soldier, who fought the Soviets in Afghanistan during the 1980s, set up Al Qaeda training camps in Sudan and Afghanistan in the 1990s, and is wanted by the FBI in connection with the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. read more
