I’m a native New Yorker, and like most of my neighbors, I love my city- the food, the culture, the action, even the Mets.  In fact, there are very few things that I don’t love about the City, save for perhaps one big one: Times Square. 

Let’s be honest: with all it’s billboards, chain restaurants and fanny packing tourists, the world’s most famous thoroughfare has lost some of its once funky and gritty (and let’s be honest, not so savory) luster.  The danger and the strangeness of it was part of the allure

So who else agrees with me (besides many of my fellow New Yorkers)?  Apparently Former President Bill Clinton.  But who could have expected the former leader of the free world would go on the record with that sentiment?  Here’s what Clinton said during an appearance with Mayor Michael Bloomberg at a climate event Wednesday.  And here was the reaction when we decided to play his comments before a segment (aptly about a Time Magazine story titled “What If There’s No Hell?”) today on Morning Joe:
