Hillary Clinton phoned Sen. Claire McCaskill following the Missouri Democrat’s endorsement of the former secretary of state for the presidency in 2016.
“We had a great conversation. I’m not going to talk about what was said, but I think she’s got a big decision to make and I think she’s in the process of making it,” McCaskill said on Morning Joe, adding that announcing her endorsement was “stating the obvious,” but an “important thing to do right now.”
McCaskill announced her support for Clinton by endorsing a super PAC, Ready for Hillary.
“She is by far the strongest, most capable, most qualified candidate for president of the United States,” McCaskill said, adding she is part of a “big huge group of people who really want her to run.”
