Neither Hillary Clinton nor Jeb Bush have declared their intent to run in the next presidential election, but the two popular -- though hypothetical -- candidates will spend two days together at an education event in Texas.

Bush, the former Republican governor of Florida and co-host, invited the former Democratic secretary of state to speak at a globalized education conference this week in Irving, Texas, marking their third joint attendance at a similar event this year.

More than 250 leaders of both U.S. and international universities will meet Monday and Tuesday to discuss the potential American higher education has to serve millions of students around the world. Clinton is among the 15 speakers, who also include Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and former North Carolina Gov. and co-host Jim Hunt.

Bush has been an advocate for the Common Core Standards, which specify math and reading skills for each grade, and for improving the successful integration of Hispanic students into the U.S. educational system.

Clinton delivered remarks at a plenary session on education last Saturday at the Clinton Global Initiative University in Arizona. Additionally, she visited New York last week to promote her memoir, due in bookstores this June.

Clinton led Bush 51% to 37% in a recent Quinnipiac University poll that asked Iowan responders about possible 2016 candidates. Iowa kicks off the presidential nominating contest with first-in-the-nation caucuses. The former secretary of state also beat other GOP contenders, including Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky.
