“She can sleep on command, but she doesn’t snore,” Conde Nast Traveler’s Kevin Doyle said of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Doyle traveled with Clinton on her most recent jaunt across the pond – a 13-day trip that included several African countries and a final stop in Turkey – as research for his latest piece, “Where in the world is Hillary?”

“Even in the moments when she could grab a breather, she doesn’t,” Doyle said. We believe it; Clinton has logged 867,196 miles of travel since assuming her post as Secretary less than four years ago. That breaks down into 365 travel days so far, for a whopping 108 countries visited since January 2009.

We told you last week that Hillary knows how to have fun on the road, but what’s it really like to travel with the Secretary who’s got “rockstar status,” according to Doyle? Watch this clip to find out.

And check out an excerpt from Doyle’s piece – or read it in full.

“Traveling with Hillary Clinton is like chasing after a woman shot out of a cannon with rocket boosters strapped to her pantsuit: The world rushes past in a blur and you’re catapulted into an alternate reality, one in which days are relentlessly scheduled and life seems an endless progression from one meeting, interview, press conference, or statement to another, with flights covering thousands of miles in between. ‘Punishing,’ ‘grueling,’ ‘exhausting,’ and, to a lesser degree, ‘fun,’ are the words most commonly used by her staff to describe the experience of traveling with her.”
