Washington’s well-known tear ducts made their presence known at Taco Bell, when House Speaker John Boehner let out a cry for the kids on Tuesday.

Boehner appeared at an event sponsored by the Taco Bell Foundation to commemorate their $30 million donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to try and bolster teen graduation rates. The Ohio Republican appeared alongside Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland, who is also an advocate for the Boys & Girls Club.

“Some of you know how I am about these things,” Boehner said, choking back tears according to U.S. News. “We need to do a better job at educating more American kids. We live in America, for goodness' sake.”

Boehner is known for crying often and easily—so much so that Jimmy Kimmell presented him with a crying doll called "Boehner Baby."

Rowland was reportedly touched by Boehner’s emotion and that he'd taken time out of his schedule to come to the event, albeit briefly.

“He’s so sweet,” she said. "You’ve got to respect those people who are in politics."
