December 9, 1998 I continue to wait for information regarding Nadia's status. Syrian authorities have not yet confirmed her whereabouts at this time. Since she is not a Saudi citizen, I am confident that Saudi authorities will be cooperative in assisting in Nadia's return should their assistance be needed. In the meantime, I continue making plans to go to Syria so that I may be ready the moment Syrian authorities advise that she is, indeed, there and all arrangements have been made for me to see her. The waiting is unbearable.
