Nadia's plight has been heard around the world. Globo T.V. in Brazil has broadcasted her story, German T.V. is set to air her story all over Europe, and of course, here in the U.S. her story is known from coast to coast. As a result, people who are outraged at the way my precious Nadia has been treated have come forward to offer support, comfort and suggestions on remedying this horrendous abuse against one little girl that most know only as Nadia. Although Syria is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child, an international treaty obligating them to assist in remedying this crime against my child, it has not been until now that Syrian authorities have extended an invitation for me to visit her in Syria. Although there seems to be some confusion as to whether or not she is in Syria at this time, Syrian authorizes have assured me that they are working to confirm this information. I am very pleased that Syrian authorities have now taken the matter to this level in an effort to provide relief for Nadia.

Senator Mike Dewine of Ohio is one of those individuals who I have heard has come forward to express outrage regarding Nadia's plight. Nadia was taken from her home in OH, Senator Dewine, a well known advocate for children's issues, has become personally interested and my prayers are that he will move forward in an effort to remedy this abuse.
