Here it is Friday...Like most parents of internationally abducted children, weekends are difficult. All government offices are closed, and most missing children's agencies don't staff case workers. All activity on a case stops, until Monday. To make things worse, these four offices are closed on holidays. When dealing with authorities in a foreign country where a child maybe taken to, time zone changes further eats away at available time. Add to that countries like Syria have their own holidays and their work week is from Sunday to Thursdays. So I figure at best, between all the holidays, weekends and time differences, there is probably only about 8 hours a week those involved in my case can work internationally..and that's not including holidays! Weekends are the pits, but then, I guess it wouldn't matter if there were actually 40 hours a week available, the State Department has not contacted me regarding Nadia since the fast started. They are probably busy doing "damage control" praying that the general public never finds out a little American girl is being held by members of a terrorist group.
